Styling blockquotes

The built-in blockquote styles do not gel with my website branding. I am using ‘Newspaper’ template.

I tried to style them with additional CSS but that is not working. How may I overriding the predefined blockquotes please?

Thanks. I used the custom code in the theme panel and it worked perfectly.
