With my old theme, when a reader submitted a post with their name (custom field ‘user_submit_name’), the post would appear with the ‘user_submit_name’ appearing as the author name for the published post. I just moved over to the Newspaper theme, and the author name in this situation is ‘Guest Poster.’ e.g. http://www.israellycool.com/2015/11/15/reader-post-whats-in-a-name/
How can I make it that the ‘user_submit_name’ appears as the author name?

Likely need to add that custom field to the templates where you want it to appear, as the theme uses the default WordPress author field.

Unfortunately there is no code you can copy and paste in. Our theme does not behave as your old one. It will require coding knowledge to change the behavior of the current code. Unfortunately we cannot offer any custom work at the moment as we work hard on updates, fixes and support. If you really need this modification, you can hire a freelancer to do it for you from sites like studio.envato.com
