I would suggest some additions for the next versions of Newspaper.
1-Make the panel has the option to open the Post in the category of the page where the Post was registered;
2-Make the Category header can be included a prominent image instead of only a colored background;
3-As already works with Likes try to include the function to import the funpages the number of views of particular Post (people reached).

1,3 -> I have added these kinds of suggestions to our list of updates. In a future update, it is possible to implement them but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though. Until we can do it, you can try to use a plugin with these functionalities.

On the head image category, I do not have that option on my dashboard. Is there any option to enable?

This field is controlled by the Seo Yoast Plugin. If you want to have the same option to add some media for each category header you have to install Seo Yoast plugin.

Do you feel that Yoast 3.0 is still the best to use with the theme, I’m still on 2.3.5 because there have been so many horror stories about 3.x.x etc?
Heard good things about other plugins but I know you recommend Yoast (WordPressSEO) – would you advice just install 3.x.x and rollback of a problem? Any other users have experience of its performance on Newspaper6

Please try to use the latest version of the theme (6.6.5) and Seo Yoast plugin (3.0.7) because works fine. Indeed, was some problems with Seo Yoast plugin after version 3.0 but they were solved this in their latest update and now it is okay.
