Switched Themes – Posts are Full of Code vs Text

Hello,

I just switched themes. I was with the Elegant Themes Extra. I’m working through the changes. I noticed that my posts have a bunch of gibberish/code in addition to the English text. How do i get ride of the code? Is this something that can be done at once for all posts vs having to go through each individual post?

Thanks!

Hi,

If you have some custom code into the post content added by the previous theme, please note that the theme will display it as a text and you will need to remove it manually. It will not render the shortcodes from the other theme.
Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your site url so we can take a closer look and also paste a link to this topic.

Thanks!

Note if you used a lot of shortcodes in former theme, those don’t get carried over.

You might need to copy the shortcode CSS from old theme and append to bottom of new theme CSS.

We run into this with client projects quite a bit over here 🙂

Hi,

@hotcup
How could I access your site if it is in maintenance?
Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp admin access so we can take a closer look and also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Please note that if you have old shortcodes from your previous theme the theme will not render them so you will need to remove them or like Chris suggested above to create a custom design for our theme.

Thanks!
