Are you referring at tab’s color? That can be set from tabs settings: http://screencast.com/t/4LSVHMnf and should apply like here: http://screencast.com/t/kZuTjj8N There is no option to apply different colors for tabs in case you want something like this, also you can add an extra css class which allow you add css for a different layout than the basic one.

In the current version of Visual Composer the shortcode for tabs has been changed that’s why they are different from those on our demo. We will fix this in the next theme’s updates but meanwhile you can use this custom css in theme panel > custom css: http://pastebin.com/ttmX0r1U – http://screencast.com/t/odvibm25F67g

We are using an older version of Visual Composer (V4.6.2) on our demo to achieve that functionality. With the newer versions of VC the tabs functionality was changed so as Bogdan suggested you will need to edit some file from plugin path to change it.
