There are link paths appearing on my site that I did not create. I do not want the folders related to tags and categories to be reflected in the link section. How can I remove them? I want to remove everything in the links starting from and after the bold parts below. Thank you.

Thank you for your response.
I would like to point out that the link format is not suitable for my needs. Specifically, I want to keep the main part of the link but remove the “category” section and everything that follows. For example, I do not want pages that include categories in the URL structure. Additionally, I would like to achieve this using the Newspaper theme.

Yoast lets you ‘strip’ the /category/ element.
e.g.,
site/category/puppies/post-about-puppies/
site/puppies/post-about-puppies/
Themes do not control default behavior of WordPress. The URL pretty permalink structure is set by WP, not the theme.
