is this something to do with the newspaper 8, or is something wrong my end?
a regular use for the tag div gallery is in displaying images of our newspaper’s print edition within a web post of the edition’s extracted text.
it used to show the pages fully, but now it is showing them truncated – just the middle third/half of the page. which looks stupid.

You seem to have a resize happening on your images.

if you click the image in the gallery it displays full size. i have also just left text with a full size version of the same image inserted as a regular photo. it seems the image is fine, but the tagdiv gallery container is truncating it.

The resize value at the end of the url is not present in our gallery. I cannot recreate this on my end so it’s safe to say it comes from an external source.
Our theme only crops images. It does not resize them. Please check jetpack’s photon or wpsmush or any other image utility.
