tagDiv Composer – CPT Post Templates & Global Colours

Hi Guys, when we create a custom template for a custom post type it looks like the only way to enable it is globally via the Cloud Templates interface. For posts, we can select from all the available templates in ‘Post Settings’ on a post-by-post basis. Is there any way we can do this with custom post types? I,e, if we have more than one custom cloud template, when adding a custom post type we can select ‘custom template 1’ or ‘custom template 2’?

Also, when we’ve imported cloud templates it’s created ‘Global Colours’ in tagDiv Composer, where are these colours stored and can we add our own global colours?

Thanks
Matt

Hello Matt!

Here, you can see your CPT and assign a template for them: https://prnt.sc/uNmMEwmwXLrJ
Also, you can see your custom taxonomies there as well.
Of course, you can edit them from the Website Manager when you edit the page with the TagDiv Composer: https://prnt.sc/IliG2jk17GsT

Thank you!

Hi Bettina, thanks for the feedback. I’ve worked out how to assign a global template for custom post types but I wanted to know whether we can assign a template on a per-custom post type basis like we can for default posts in ‘Page Settings’?

So in the below screengrab, we can select from standard pack templates AND custom cloud templates for posts, this isn’t an option for custom post types.

Thanks

Hello,

For CPT, you can assign a template here -> https://i.imgur.com/gmsGOY9.png you cannot assign a template for each article, from that CPT, you can only for each CPT separately if you have several.

Thank you!
