Hi,
This problem can appear if you are using the last version of WordPress (5.5 or 5.5.1) and an old version of theme, only from Newspaper v10.3.6.1 was added the support for WP 5.5, therefore if you do not have the last theme version, please make a full backup to your website and database, after that please make the manual theme update as in our guide from here -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
If you have this theme version and the problem persists, then please disable tagDiv Composer and delete it, after that reinstall the plugin.
Another solution is to use a plugin, but this is only an workaround, the plugin is is Enable jQuery Migrate Helper.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!

Hi, I made this website with an old newspaper version that I purchased in 2019. but I lost the key of my other account on Envato and I purchase a new license. I tried to install the new version but I think the demo is a little bit different and I tried to re-install the old version. But TD Composer is not working.
I also tried to delete and re-install TD Composer but same problem.

what you think? If I re-install the new version I check that footer is not present, the header is also a little bit different.

Demo version is SPA Heaven.
pls let me know.

thanks
Marco

Hi marcobarb,
Is possible that the problem to be from WordPress version. If you are using the last WP version, then you need to use the last version of our theme, only this is compatible with the new elements from WordPress.
If you are using an old theme version, you need to use a WP under v5.5
Also if you are using the last theme version and last WordPress version and there are still some problems, let me know and I will try to help you! Also if the website look is different, please provide me a link where I can inspect this.
Also make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, for this make a test only with tagDiv plugins enable.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!

I had similar problem and the issue is a conflict between TagDiv and the new WP block editor (Gutenberg). If you enable the classic editor plugin, tagdiv loads up fine.

I have experimented extensively with this problem and I’ve narrowed it done to a couple of issues. 1. If the page is large it can just time out with your server. 2. If you want to edit with TD Composer and then use Gutenberg to edit the code or SEO it can cause major problems. Solution 1. is mentioned above–switch to the classic editor and it should open eventually. Solution 2. is easier and always works but not best-practices. If for whatever reason you just can’t get Gutenberg to open after editing in TD Composer you can copy the affected page which gives you an instant, clean look at the Gutenberg page. Make the changes you need to the duplicate page and delete your original page. At this point make sure the perma URL matches up and that’s it. You should now be able to edit your page in both Gutenberg and TD Composer.

This is a dev issue and will need to be addressed in a future update. I understand that TagDiv can’t be compatible with every page builder, but page compatibility with Gutenberg is pretty important.

Hi headline, yes, this is on our list to make a better and flexible compatibility between our builder (tagDiv Composer) and WordPress default editor (Gutenberg ).
Thank you!
