TagDiv . . . again I have to urge (beg? plead? grovel?) for someone to create ‘documentation’ section that is a very simple (and easy to create, for you) “map” or “key” as to what sections/parts/designations are what.
While the documentation descriptions are basically adequate for WHAT to do and HOW to do it, I find myself endlessly not being able to discern what element of the theme is affected. What’s what? Who’s on third? Some elements (“footer”) are simple for newbs, others (blocks? modules? excerpts? content? post title? article title? smart sidebar? standard sidebar? default sidebar? demo sidebar? post? custom post? default post? main menu? top menu? ETC ETC) these things I KNOW are second nature to folks who do website development day by day and for years. But for newbies it is a total mystery exactly what elements are what.
I’ve attached an image from one of your model sites with an example of what I mean would be VERY (!!!) helpful to those of us not in the industry. It would take someone at your end all of an hour to create a “key” of images that simply say “this is the header” “this is a module” etc.).
Every time I change a setting – and there are over 1,000 settings by my rough count – something other than what I think will change, get’s modified. A bit of help from your side would save some of us huge amounts of time on the simplest things. I’ve spent 6H so far just this evening simply trying to get a basic color palette on the main page set, but am wandering in the dark.
Please consider adding this most rudimentary part of documentation to your site. The themes are great but do no good if some of us are unable to discern what parts are what. It’s exceedingly frustrating. I just about give up after hours of flailing about merely attempting to accomplish the simplest tasks because I’ve no idea what ‘elements’ are what in your theme – and there’s zero documentation with any guidance whatsoever – just words and some videos saying just click click click presto bingo your site is done and amazing.
Yah, if you’ve been doing it for many years. If you’re a newb and haven’t, it’s hopeless.

Actually I was *way* off on the number of settings.
There are over 675 settings on “Theme Fonts” alone. The documentation explains how to alter these things – but as a very short example, never says WHAT they are in the theme or WHERE they are…”box author name?” “Dropcap?” “Box author URL?”

A guy quoted me $625 per hour w/$18k minimum retainer to develop a basic 3 color 3-page blog website, which I thought was insane but I now realize is eminently reasonable. Time to write a check. 😐
Well, again, reading the basic documentation for WordPress in the codex at WordPress.org good place to start if you’re still confused about posts, pages, custom post types, menus, excerpts, content, post title, etc. — are all part of *all* WordPress sites and not theme specific.
WordPress is a publishing platform, and the theme is a “style/design and added functions” platform sitting on top of that.
meaning, headers, menus, posts, titles, sidebars, widgets, footers — are all normal elements of WordPress.
So, starting there perhaps with a default WP theme that comes with WP to “learn” how WP works would be good starting point. THEN, graduate to a complex theme like this.
Meaning, if you don’t know what a post title is, then you won’t understand what the settings do for the post title.
Just food for thought. 🙂
There is a learning curve. But often theme developers can’t take the time to teach people the basics. And making videos and screen shots is tricky — beyond the ones they have already done to explain the theme workings — since things DO change and so complex videos can become obsolete quickly, vs “how to install a dishwasher” tutorials.

Thank you for your interest in our theme! Please keep in mind that the theme is not hard to use if you understand every element of the theme. Please remember that we cannot teach you how you can use our theme because the time does not afford us to do this, sorry! You have to read all our documentation trying to create yourself the website. Notice that we cannot make your site from scratch, but only we can point you in the right direction. Also, if you want to attach some useful images to show us your problem, I recommend you to use the Jing tool, and you should load there your pictures and then the generated link you should paste to your topic here.
If the theme is too hard for you and if you are unhappy with it, you can request a refund and we will accept it.
