The images inside Tagdiv Gallery in posts show images as thumbnails enlarged, though it should fit to size. When clicked on the images in the gallery, it opens up and fits to size.

How can it be fixed?

Please disable your optimization options as it seems you get a resize on your images that does not come from the theme. It is most likely caused by your plugins

We checked every plugin and finally managed to found the real issue. The problem with the Gallery disappears the moment we enable the sidebar which we are not using at the moment.
So the problem isn’t due to any plugin but some issue that surfaces when we are using the full content column without the sidebar. Can it be fixed with some CSS as we don’t intend to use the sidebar for articles/posts?
