TagDiv lightbox active alongside native lightbox

WordPress 7.0 now includes a native lightbox in the Gallery and Images block. When I activate the lightbox for a set of images and test it, I notice that when closing the native lightbox, the TagDiv lightbox remains open. As a result, I have to close two lightboxes. This is despite the fact that the lightbox toggle in “Theme Settings” is not active.

Incidentally, it was already the case before the release of WP 7.0 that the TagDiv lightbox was enabled by default, while the toggle in Theme Settings was not turned on. This is therefore likely the reason why two lightboxes appear since WP 7.0.

In my opinion, this is a bug. Could you ensure that the TagDiv lightbox is only active when the toggle is actually turned on for both the gallery and the image block?

Hi,

So I add an image in the post content and set the new wordpress lightbox https://prnt.sc/qcHwbPtpVBdq

The theme global lightbox option is disabled https://prnt.sc/HnQcXxOdJsHE

In the post page I click on the image, it opens the wordpress lightbox https://prnt.sc/zTbWqHPmctjc The theme lightbox isn’t behind it.

If the same image however also has the theme lightbox enabled for it specifically https://prnt.sc/HNhPwI-Yw7jD then there will indeed be two lightboxes on top of each other.

Could you provide a link to where I can see this happening? If the theme lightbox class is on the link that contains the image, then it means the theme lightbox is enabled for it.

Thank you!

I think it has already been resolved. The The theme global lightbox option was not disabled. After turning it off, it works correctly.
