I recently updated to the most recent version of Newspaper and also updated
WPBakery Visual Composer according to instructions here. Pretty much everything runs well apart from tagDiv Social Counter. I removed the old box completely and created a new to see if that would help but no.
The Social Counter display but just with a facebook / twitter icon hardly visible in white. Number of followers don’t display correctly. Weird..
I’m pretty sure tagdiv social counter it self is configured correctly.
What might I be doing wrong?

I also encountered the same problem, the Social Counter shows only the icon of Facebook… but not update the number of fans.
Same problem here. Social count doesn’t update. I followed tutorial. Any news on this?

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.4) and Social Counter 4.1 if you want to bring the best results in theme. Clear all your caches and test it again.

Thanks! Yes, I had social counter 3.x. After updating the newspaper theme I did not do the “manual” update of the plugin.

Please update it to the latest version of it -> Social Counter 4.1 which come bundled with the latest version of the theme -> Newspaper 7.4 You will have to delete the old Social Counter and then you will have to install the newest one from the Premium Plugin area. Before checking the results, please check the Installed PLugfin area to check if the Social Counter has the proper version, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/FdCj64WI

Few hours back updated to latest. Still same problem. Also I’m 100% sure that I’m entering right information, doing this FB permission thing already for long time.
No… there is an important problem with plugin. Concretely… the problem is related with Youtube section… Don’t work Youtube… You can quit Youtube data and it works… But this is not a solution…
