TAGDIV Social Media Plugin GDPR friendly? Transfer data before you click on it?

Hello 🙂

What I would be interested to know is whether the social media plugin that is already installed is GDPR friendly? Does it not use trackers, does it not place cookies and does it not collect personal data?

Or does it transfer data before you click on it.

In Europe I am obliged to act in accordance with the GDPR, otherwise I can be sued.

(For example: the registration to access premium content does not include an email confirmation that you have to confirm again, so it is not legal in Europe.)

a great day

Tobias

Hello,

Are you referring to the tagdiv social counter plugin?
Can you please provide more details?

Thank you!

Yes, I’m referring to the tagdiv social plugin, but also to the Newspaper theme. Under the Newspaper – Theme panel you can integrate the social share buttons, so that Facebook, Instagram etc. are integrated as buttons in the posts.

And here I wanted to know whether they transfer data in advance, so that there is a problem with the GDPR?

It irritates me a bit, on the purchase page at Themenforest you say that your template is GDPR compliant,
which is not correct, because for example there is no cookie banner and you have to install your own.

But even with the Parenting Pro design you can simply register with your email address to gain access to premium content without having to confirm your registration again by clicking on an email.

Hello,

Yes, you need to use a plugin for GDPR, but the theme itself does not collect any data, such as emails, and so on. Since you want to use the tagDiv Opt-In builder plugin for an email locker, you need to check this box, and here you will need to attach a link to the terms and conditions and privacy policy pages https://i.imgur.com/ofIpb6k.png. Only with a subscription-type locker will a confirmation email be sent.

Thank you!
