When I deactivate the built-in social counter, my site returns. Is there a way I can use the social counter with my new Newspaper 12 theme. Here is the code I received:

Hello,
Unfortunately, I cna not access the website – https://i.imgur.com/vi8mzDw.png
Checking the provided error, it appears this is related to the api key, please make sure that you have set the api key for the socials that you want and have to display in the social counter https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Thank you!
Please, let me know when you have time, and I can let you into my site.
Thanks
Robert
Hi,
I saw the problem. What I can recommend is to make sure that you are using the latest theme version, Newscape v12.7.3, and make sure that all theme plugins are updated (plugins you are using).
Next step is to check if you didn’t set some strange text characters in the social counter, the options for fix count should have only numbers nothing else – https://i.imgur.com/BuBqVSO.png
Hello,
I was updated on theme and plugins.
Also, I don’t see any strange characters in the social counter. But I do remember the problem happening after I pasted 27k for fixed count in facebook. I do not see how to undo that now.
Thanks
I have also set the api key for the socials that you want and have to display in the social counter https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Still I get the same error
Uncaught Error: number_format(): Argument #1 ($num) must be of type int|float, string given
in /home/greenwx6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-social-counter/shortcode/td_block_social_counter.php on line 1176
and aslo:
Error at zones: 6(models) : 5(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)
Undo did not work.
Thanks
Hi,
If you have set the 27k instead of 2700,0 then from there is the problem.
What can be done is to use a page revision https://wordpress.com/support/page-post-revisions/
I revised to the earliest of the five possible revisions, it did not work. Probably because the mistake came before I saved for the first time. I even deleted the them and re-uploaded it. It still doesn’t work. I gave TD access to my site, but there has been no solution. Although I really like this theme, I will need to ask for a refund and get another theme if I can’t get this fixed today.
Hi,
Please make a backup for your website and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and we’ll check the problem. Also, please include the link to this topic so we can identify you.
If you’d like to request a refund https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new, you can do so using the following link. Your request will be reviewed, and if it meets the eligibility criteria (https://themeforest.net/page/customer_refund_policy), a refund will be processed accordingly.
Thank you!
