Noticing that in Import/Export, I can only Export files. The Import function is not available.
Also the number of backups which I used to be able to set is no longer there.

In td_011 are store all the data from the theme, there all set the settings, cloud templates, backup for theme panel, pages and so on. -> https://imgur.com/k7nkIRg
If you have more settings and a big website then is possible that the database to grow, there are set data for posts and pages, categories, author.

My question was regarding backups. I used to be able to set the amount to a small level, which kept the file smaller. But now I don’t have any ability to backup or control the number of backups. The functionality is gone, wondering if this was a change and how I can manage the backups done by the theme.

Just make sure that you have the latest theme version, Newsapper v12.7.1. The theme panel backup limit is still there – https://i.imgur.com/nFo5NJS.png. In case you no longer have it and you have the last version, then it’s possible that something is interfering with the theme.
