Is it possibile to hide in categories style pages the category (white on black) that’s overlayed over each thumbnail? thanks

Hello appiccicati,

Here is talking about Category Tags and there is an option for it in Theme panel. You can turn off from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/pEwGODvodr according to block/module used.
