Template Update email from reseller

Hi Team,

We received today an invitation from Themeforest that there is an update of Newspaper-News&Woocommerce WordPress Theme by tagDiv.

Downloaded the archive but it looks like it is a 12.1.3 update, which we already have installed (and which we already downloaded from Envato/Themeforest. Refer to a file in the archive called ‘changed_files_12.3_12.3.1.html’ which gives the impression that indeed it is the 12.1.3 update.

Would it be a good idea to signal any update through the dashboard of the template instead of receiving an announcement from the reseller?

Can you pls clarify.

I’ve just installed the live update and it crashed the site: the Newspaper plugins were unistalled as well as the prebuilt website and I could not log in because I was asked to register the theme (in short: the update seems to have completely stepped on the previous install, including the license).
I’ve restored my last backup succesfully but now I’m afraid to try again.

We just upgraded and so far no issues detected.
