The images don't cover the page

Hello!

We are using the latest version of the theme Newspaper. The images we uploaded in the Gutenberg block editor fit exactly the width of the text area, as seen here.

However, as seen here, although the width of the images is large enough, it does not fit the page properly in the page display.

What could be the reason for this, what should we do to fix this problem?

We solved the problem by adding the code below. But we have to find the real reason, we are curious about it.

width: 100%;
}
