Theme Check validation

I ran Newsmag through Theme Check (themecheck.org), and it came back with their lowest score: 0, with Security Breaches and Critical Alerts galore (I’ve pasted all the warnings below my sig) Should I be concerned about using this theme?

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Ha.. most of that is so totally wrong, it’s not even funny.

Custom fields for thumbnails ?

Fopen — yes, used to grab content from external sites as some servers only way that works.

iframes — oh no! a basic web feature is evil !!!

base64 — omg — Base-64 encoding is a way of taking binary data and turning it into text so that it’s more easily transmitted in things like e-mail and HTML form data.

Sheesh. The sky is falling … run away run away!! Giant bunny on the loose.

Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

So, Theme Check is holding you to unfair standards? Is that what you’re telling me?

Hi,

Base64 encoding was used on demo data (the one which can be installed from Theme Panel) and it doesn’t contain any security treating code.
The rest off the warnings have no point.

Thank you, Emil G.
