Hello.
My site had to me rebuilt after some issues with hosting. I have downloaded a backup of the site and my restored site’s newspaper settings have been reset. I am wondering where the string is located in my backup files so I can import my theme settings in the theme panel. Thanks!

Hi,

The theme settings are saved in td_011 inside wp_options – https://www.screencast.com/t/bcrxTI5uYfu4

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply! I am wondering which exact part of the text I need to look at to decode to base64 so I can import my old settings. Thanks!

Hi,

You can use this tool to decode from base 64: https://www.base64decode.org/

Thanks.

Hi Bogdan. Every time I go to decode it to base 64, the theme rejects the import code.

Could you please verify I am copying the correct string?

Hello,

The import code is wrong. It should look like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/A4wfVHltX6rl
If you want to import theme settings do not decode it. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/

Thanks.

Hi Bogdan. I understand that. I have linked the decoded version. I was asking to make sure I am encoding the correct string before I import it because whenever I encode it and then import the encoded version, Newspaper rejects the import code.

Probably the decoding process damages the code. We have not tested decoding and encoding it again before importing the code into the theme.
The feature was meant to work simply by exporting and importing.

Thanks.
