Hey there,
for on apparent reason I am not able to save settings in the newspaper theme panel (ver 12.7.6, WP 7.0.2) After pressing Save Settings the saving-animation starts but never finishes. The new settings are not saved accordingly.
Any ideas anyone?

I’ve seen such issues before. There can be a few causes, but the most common cause is that something is blocking the theme from saving. Like a security or firewall setting from a plugin or from the hosting.
The cause can usually be seen with the browser inspector by checking the request the theme makes when saving. I’ll take a look at it, this way we can at least know what’s causing it and then check how it can be fixed. I have this problem too. I am on Newspaper 12.7.7. Can you help me as well?
Usually all I can do is in such cases is to identify what is causing the problem, by checking with the browser inspector. In the case from above and in most of the cases, the theme was being blocked by a firewall from the hosting side. And only the hosting can fix it.
