Theme panel issue – urgent help needed

Hi there,

as soon as I make changes in Theme Panel > categories, such as the individual category view, sidebar etc, the next thing happens is that, Theme Panel from WP comes up with 404 error page. checked in Console of Inspect Element, it says “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found): http://e02496a4fb19221a63c8-0657d4da6f2e0386e9d98f2144ec35be.r10.cf6.rackcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/smile_fonts/Defaults/Defaults.css?ver=4.0

Although, prior to the changes made in Theme Panel, everything’s been working fine, no issue with my CDN, nothing whatsoever.

It happened once before, I had to reinstall WP, theme etc and restart all over again, as WP backup restore doesn’t restore everything properly. But this time I cannot afford to lose my work.

your help would be highly appreciated.

regards,

Mr Hossain

Demanding support won’t help. Sometimes folks need to second guess what you’re asking, or research past answers. Or, nobody else has had the issue, and so it might be local problem.

Two things I’ve seen, which may not apply to your case
1) javascript caching corrupt in your web browser; try clearing cache for browser
2) make sure you have enough memory allocated to PHP/etc., which ideally should be 128MB and not the default 16MB on some cheap hosting companies
3) make sure no automatic updates run on your install, as that can crash your admin sessions if something being updated in background
4) 404 error implies “site went away” which is common with either PHP or MySQL being overloaded; check with your server ERROR LOGS as this will TELL YOU what caused the error.

Hope that helps. Perhaps not.

Hi,

Thanks Christopher!

@gmshossain

Sorry for the delay!
Please deactivate all plugins, including CDN and check if the issue is still there to make sure this is not happening due to a plugin, also empty browser/server cache.
Make sure you clear cache then deactivate CDN.
If this doesn’t help, please let me know and provide a link to your site also.
Hope this helps!

Thanks
