I just updated to Newspaper 4.6.2 after activating the child theme of the previous install (3.9.1). Everything seems okay on the visitor side, but I noticed some problems with the theme panel. Specifically, the Categories and Custom Typography options do not show any dropdown choices. The arrow on the right toggles to open the panel, but then it is just a small white line instead of the full array of choices. For example, I would frequently open a new category to adjust the display view and to hide the category on a post. Now, I cannot do that.
What am I missing?

Please try this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, also clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN and see if you still have these issues.
