Hi,

I received a new code from envato but after activation my custom theme settings from theme pane are gone. Is there any way to restore theme? Are they stored in any file or database? I have backups on my server.

Thanks,
Marc

Hello Marc,

Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way to another subdomain, increased the system status parameters to be according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/, install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. After you have updated your theme, install your backup and check the results. Should working fine.

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

Thanks for your answer! I didn’t make a clean install yet. I just set up everything new in the Theme Panel.

Yesterday it happened again: The was deactivated and after activation all the settings were gone or not visible. Things like the code for the Custom HTML and the Custom ad e.g. were active without visible in the Theme Panel and without any caching (I cleared all caches).

So just to make sure: What exactly do I have to do for a clean install? Deleting all theme files from server and do a new installation? Or do I have to clean some database tables as well?

Cheers,
Marc

Hello Marc,

First of all, you should make a full backup to your database to avoid losing all the data. The clean install means to make a new theme install for a new sub-domain, without any untested plugins or additional customization. On the default state, the theme should work as expected and all the theme settings should have to be there. Ensure that all of the system status parameters are increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ to avoid occurring some unknown problems.

Thanks for your understanding!
