Theme Settings Gone!

I have a couple sites to deploy live and when I export my local database and create a new database on web host, import data, replace all instances of localhost with domain name, and copy files… and my theme settings are gone!

What this translates to is many, many settings that have to be re-entered and widgets that are completely gone.

I appreciate your help on this matter.

Forgot to mention I can do an export and import of the settings but all the widgets are still missing…

So I then tried to drop my tables and re-import but then all the theme settings were gone again… so I import again but the widgets are still missing.

**And to be more specific, it appears only the footer widgets are missing probably because the theme settings footer layout didn’t match at the time of importing data in myPHPAdmin.

Hi,
Yes you can export/import all the Theme panel options, but widgets management are not included in panel.

If you copy all the files and also the database on a live server all should work fine, about the widgets is important to not activate another theme then switch back to newspaper. When you activate a theme the widgets will be moved to inactive widgets section.

You can take a look here: http://www.sitepoint.com/move-wordpress-new-server-without-losing-anything/

Hope this help!
Thanks for the message!
