Is there any logs where I can find out who did the reset ?? If somebody does reset will it ask for activation again ?>
Hello anoopcnair,
Unfortunately, until now, we do not have any bad reports in this regard, sorry! It is strange this thing… Most likely you have some untested plugins which interact with the theme core files and cause this type of issue because our theme does not have any option which automatically reset the theme…You should contact your change log, and there you will see each process which has happened on your website. If you do not have access to them, you must contact your hosting provider because they should be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
Thank you for the reply. How about the following option? If someone clicks on that button ..will this ask for theme activation ?

Hello,
that button does not ask for the theme activation. It asks to type the word rest in the field above. Even though you already see the word rest in there, it has to be typed again. Here is an example:

Thanks.
Hi,
Did you ever find a reason for the resetting of your Theme options? I have experienced something similar just this weekend. A site with the Newspaper 7.7 installed all of a sudden cleared it’s theme options and is asking for activation again.
It’s a weird one. I cannot import the theme options from backup I took of the “Theme Settings Export String”, and even when I try to manually copy the theme options into the database from a backup, it instantly reverts back to a “fresh” set of options…
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I have no clue what happened to my website and how did it got reset. But even I did restore from backup to get back all custom setting that was not expected đ
Sorry but we have no insight into this issue. Our theme will not reset itself automatically. There is something affecting it and causing the reset but it is very hard to identify. It could be a simple plugin conflict, it could be your server configuration, it could be your worpdress install ,etc.
It can even be a custom code added in the theme panel or a strange ad code. I can’t say for sure.
If you still encounter issues with the import/export of the theme panel, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation.
Thank you!
It seems that I cannot import the theme settings, for some reason, whenever I try, the theme resets to default and I am asked to Activate the theme again.
I have deactivated all plugins and attempted to import and it still behaves the same.
It is extremely annoying as I have spent a long time configuring the theme panel to be as I want it (there are hundreds of settings that need to be tweaked!!) and for some reason, the damn thing just stopped working and wont start again.
Yeah exactly. I can’t agree to it more. Even I spend entire day configuring all settings and it’s just vanished because of plugin or somthing esle. I never installed any un approved plugin or never edited core code of the theme.
I know it’s rare case we are the only 2 reporting it but it’s serious and some dev folks should look at theme code in details to avoid these issues in future releases.
Hi,
I have a similar case. This is very serious for me. The same thing happens twice and I have had to reconfigure everything, I need an urgent solution.
I have version 8.7
Hello,
Unfortunately even if it is indeed a theme bug, we have not discovered it in any of our tests. Maybe it is a specific scenario in which this happens. We will need to access your sites and investigate in order for us to do anything about it.
Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and cpanel access so we can login and investigate this issue directly. It is most likely a setting on your host/cache/cdn but we will need to make sure it is not something else.
Thank you!
