Theme Update No Longer Serving DFP Ads

I am having issues with the latest theme update and my Google ad manager header ad. Once I ran the update the ad stopped serving. I have run through all the ad code, but not sure why now this does not work? The rest of my DFP ads are serving, but not the leaderboard code. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have not run the theme update on this sister site and the ads still serves: https://www.lagunabeachmagazine.com/

Hello @firebrandmedia!

It should work on your website too. Please re-check the settings and the ad codes. Make sure it’s not from a cache plugin issue, deactivate it, clear the cache from your browser and see the results!

Thank you!

No luck, not sure the issue. It all happened after the last theme update.

Is there a way to roll back the theme version?

Ok, I found the fix and want to share if someone else has this issue. I use Google Ad Manager (DFP). I made no changes to my code and when I updated the theme the leaderboard banner disappeared. I assumed it was a tweak to the theme.

When researching the ad serving I discovered DFP was only serving the first 30 ad units. I have 32 ad units and the leaderboard ad was #31. I deleted some old ad units and presto the ad started serving.

What is odd is this worked for a long time with no issues with the 32 ad units. I am not sure if something changed with DFP, but at least I figured it out.

I am having issues with the theme and the updates. I accidentally ran the most recent update, and the default header I was using is no longer an option in the dashboard, and now I have to use a cloud version. This has messed up the ad serving with desktop and mobile. It was working great, and the update killed it. I had DFP serving 728×90 on desktop and 300×250 on mobile for the top leaderboard. Not the mobile ad is gone, and I have no idea what to do. Is there any way to dump these cloud elements and get the theme back to allow for the header and ad design in the dashboard? https://www.lagunabeachindy.com/

Hello,
I think the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin was used before the theme update and this plugin is no longer active. If you want to check, please go to Newspaper > Plugins (after the plugin is activated, the standard headers will also appear).
Thank you!
