Thumbnail clipping and resizing

Greetings,

I would appreciate assistance resolving the following thumbnail issues for http://bit.ly/1wJQy7F

1) Module 5 thumbnails do not span the full width of a column:

2) TD block 14 thumbnails exceed column borders as per the following example:

Please advise how to resolve these issues for the site http://bit.ly/1wJQy7F.

Did you regenerate all your thumbs for this theme when you switched to it, per theme docs?

Note WordPress cannot “enlarge” images to crop/fit, only reduce.

You therefore need soomething like the free “thumbnail upscale” plugin.

See the theme docs for help on “why my images don’t fit ..” and migrating from another theme. 🙂

Many thanks, Chris. It did not occur to me to regenerate the thumbnails after upgrading to a newer version of newsmag. Thank you for your helpful reply. I will regenerate the thumbnails in case that resolves the aforementioned issues.

Hi @mefta

The theme’s blocks were designed to work on span12, span8 and span4 which means the you can use this coblinations of colons from Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/NQXVPSUdm7Th I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re usin a combination by span5 + span3 + span4, that’s why the block 14 exceed the allowed space. http://screencast.com/t/MPNgvXjL This issue will be corrected if you use three colons with span4: http://screencast.com/t/CeDSKUe96 – http://screencast.com/t/W4VHr0h94Jq
