I want to use the theme with a movies website but the problem is that most movie posters are portrait aspect whereas themes tend to create thumbnails in landscape aspect which cuts posters in thumbnails and featured images off. Is there a way to get Newsmag to show thumbnails in portrait aspect?
You’d likely need to edit the image sizes in the functions.php file, and then modify the modules for VC in the VC modules folder to change the dimensions (e.g., change something like 300×175 to 170×300 or whatever. Not simple, but you could certainly take it upon yourself to experiment with that.
Or, you could hire a developer to modify that for you, which can sometimes be less of a headache.
