When I import articles from another wordpress blog the images aren’t showing up. No big deal, but even if I set the thumbnails manually they are not showing up on the front page. The image is in the artcile though. Totally clueless and frustrated why this occours.
Images need to be set as “featured” from each post to generate the thumbnails.
Also, images which are in the old posts with old URL obviously need to be search/replaced to load images from new URL.
I use a cool plugin called “Auto Post Thumbnail PRO” from Envato/Themeforest — which is cool; it will take the first image (or fallback image you specify) and set that as the “featured” image for post so that thumbnails get built. It’s super cheap, too.

I set the image as featured but it doesn’t show up in the Big Grid. It only occurs with the imported articles though. I copy&pasted some articles now so they are “new” for wordpress and set the featured image = everything is fine. But as soon as I use an imported article there is no way. Even if the featured image is set it is not showing up. Right now I’m at the point of giving up and just re-create all 470 posts…Gonna be a long night
