Hello,
We are using Mailchimp to automatically send our newsletter from the feed of our website. The system works fine, but when it’s a gallery post, the first words of the excerpt in the RSS are the title of the image. Is there anyway to avoid that?
Thank you in advance.
Juan.
Hi Lucian,
I’m sorry but it happens with all type of posts (not just with gallery post).
So before the excerpt, instead of starting withe the first line of the text, the name of the photo is included.
I hope you fins a solution soon.
Regards.
Hi,
Can you please send a link to a post that has this issue with the feed? I’d like to inspect this. I have also searched your site but didn’t found any with this issue: http://screencast.com/t/WoEeA2qLoT
I have also noticed some js errors so you should make sure that this is not due to some plugins conflict by deactivating all and emptying cache/purge files and check again.
Please let me know if this helps!
Thanks
Of course. Here you have the Mailchimp sent on Monday.
As you can see, in almost all the RSS excerpts are included the names of the photos.

Hi,
I have checked this and I suggest that you should also check for this issue on plugin’s support page and address it to the plugin’s authors as I believe there is an issue with the method the excerpt is included into the newsletter and somehow the image title is added.
Thanks
