I have a max of 10 random posts per category on my home page but I want people to be able to access all posts in a category via the relevant category page. It seems logical that you just populate the Title URL field with the relevant category page URL but when I do that and save it in DivTag, nothing happens and when I return to DivTag the Title URL fields have all been cleared and are blank !
What am I doing wrong here and if the Title URL field is not what I thought it was, how do I turn the titles into clickable links to the relevant category page ?
Hi,
I believe you are referring to the blocks that display the posts, and the titles of these blocks. The title is simple text in this case, and has no relation to the categories.
However, if you want them to be links and lead to category pages, you could set links for each of them, in the composer https://i.imgur.com/tnXUX3Y.png
If that is what you want, then set links to the category pages you want, for each title of the blocks that displays posts.
In case I am misunderstanding, please mention a few more details about what exactly you would like to do. Let me know.
Thank you!
In your linked example, I want people to click “Hot Right Now” and get all the Hot Right Now posts that may not be appearing as you have limited the number displayed. When I try to do that, the Title URL refuses to hold on to URLs, allowing you to save the link but then clearing the link when you check back.
Hi,
That would mean there is a problem, if the composer doesn’t save the links you enter for the titles.
I tested on my end again, the link I set for the block title seems to save correctly, for example https://i.imgur.com/bViG14q.png
And the saved link is on the website https://i.imgur.com/xh5rpzJ.png
I believe this is your website https://www.peterboroughimages.co.uk/
Despite using an old theme version, this should still work.
Does the composer save other changes made on the page?
What if you try in a new page, with a new block, does it work correctly there?
If you want I will take a closer look at this. In this case I suggest sending us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and providing admin login for the website, so I can investigate why this is happening. Let me know.
Thank you!
Have just ran a new test and the Title URL field worked so no idea what went wrong before !!!
That’s not the site I’m working on by the way but thanks for your help on this one.
