This might sound as a very childish question, but is it possible to translate the default taxonomies? Meaning: author,category,tag etc
Under Misc > Translations I loaded one of the languages you support and it’s awesome, but the problem is links are still broken.
domain.com/category/%post_name% should be domain.com/%category_translate%/%post_name%. Couldn’t find such a solution.
Also, under Category spot taxonomy I cannot select anything (Custom Post Type Support)

Unfortunately this comes from wordpress not the theme. The ‘category’ and ‘post’ or ‘page’ or ‘event’ are used in the wordpress code to describe the post type. I doubt there is any option to translate these names. If you look at the wordpress codex you will find functions used in the wordpress code like ‘is_post_type_archive’ or ‘is_page’
