Translation issue?

Hey there,

thanks a lot for this awesome theme! I’m building a website with the Newspaper theme these days but still struggling with some parts of the translation. I already tried the “Theme Panel”-section but I’m not able to solve the issue.

I’m not able to translate some small but important parts (most of the time it’s about a connection-word).

For example on the author page “MOST RECENT ARTICLES BY:”, also when I’m using the “Recent Comments” widget for the footer it keeps saying “Author on topic” for the recent comments (I want to get rid of the “on” and replace it with a German word). Same thing for example for a regular comment where it says “25. DEZEMBER 2020 AT 22:38” – I want to get rid of the “at”, replacing it with a “um”.

So…is it me doing something wrong or how do I solve this thing?

Once again: Thanks a lot for your awesome work and thanks in advance for some help!

Hi tokography,
Most for those words that you want to edit change are hardcode in theme and plugins files. For example the “on” from “Recent Comments” -> https://i.imgur.com/MDnYSzX.png wp-content/plugins/td-composer/includes/shortcodes/vc_wp_recentcomments.php you need to change it from there.
The “At” from the “25. DEZEMBER 2020 AT 22:38” can be translated from theme panel https://i.imgur.com/dB8AzRY.png
Also for MOST RECENT ARTICLES BY I need a link to your website to inspect that element. It can be set using tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!

Wow, that’s been a quick reply. Thanks a lot for your help!

I thought about going this way but I need to edit these files once again every time after an update is it right (well…in case they’re part of the update for sure). Is there any way to solve this without losing the changes after an update?

Most recent articles: Indeed, my mistake, sorry for that. Was a little too late tonight 😉

Thanks for your help and keep up the great work as well as the fast support. That’s how you make a client happy!

Hello !

On this, unfortunately at the moment you don’t have any workarounds. In the future there will be a better implementation for translating.

Thank you for your understanding !
