"Travel Demo" Home page, Category Sub filters showing everything

Hi

I am trying to organize my home page, would like to know how things work

e.g. at home, you can organzie your listing of

TRIP IDEAS
– AllWeekend trips
– One-week trips
– Family vacations
– Shopping
– Outdoor activities

But for mine, every other category is showing,there is duplication and its all over the place
e.g.

TRAVEL GUIDES
– All
– Explore Asia <– not a subcategory of Travel Guides
– Singapore <– duplicated, not sure why
– Singapore
– Thailand <– Duplicated, not sure why
– Thailand
– Travel Guides
– Travel Tips <– not a category of Travel Guides..
– Vietnam

Any advice on this?

For a better explaination

My main Category and subcategory looks like this
Explore Asia
– Singapore
– Thailand
– Vietnam

But my module suncategory at the front page looks like this

The ajax filter you are referring to can be found in the block settings and can be customized using the category ID’s: http://screencast.com/t/1kiMPcMuCUuK
