Trouble adding Facebook pixel code to site with Newspaper theme

Hello – I’m trying to add a Facebook tracking pixel to our site but I’m getting a popup with the following error when I go to the site:

TypeError: fbq.getState is not a function

https://stnonline.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=10.3.2

I see this error in Firefox, but not in Chrome. Using the Google Pixel Helper in Chrome I see that the pixel code has successfully loaded.

Suggestions? I’ve added this same code to our smaller sites that don’t use the Newspaper theme and I don’t get the same error message.

Thanks,
Kent

Hello !

Please make sure that you have inserted your code in the proper way. Also make sure that you are not having a plugin conflict. Please disable all the plugins except tagdiv one and try again.

Thank you !

Thank you for your reply. I’ve verified that the code is correctly inserted into the /head section of the template.

After some trial and error I found that my poll software YOP Poll is having a conflict. I’ve sent them a message for suggestions.

This error is only showing up in Firefox, Chrome seems to work fine. Is there a way to override this error message while I try to get this sorted out?

Hello !

You will have to get in touch with them. Unfortunately this is not Newspaper Theme related.

Thank you !
