I am using Version 3.2 of the template
I am using the Social Counter of the tagDiv in a sidebar. I am able to get Youtube, Google+ to work correctly. I have two issues:
1.) When I add the facebook username, it returns 0 fans. When I click on Like, it does go to the facebook page. The facebook page has Likes, but not fans, our facebook category is set to Movies: Studio. I have attempted to use the Facebook Page ID, and the results are the same.
2.) When I add in my twitter name, the entire sidebar disappears and nothing shows. Once I remove the twitter id in the social counter, the sidebar returns. I attempt to update the API keys in the social-twitter.php file with my twitter generated keys, but nothing changed.

The social counter that I have running is at version 1.3. If there is a later version of this plugin, please let me know where to find it.

@Ljubisa B. I’ve tested your Twitter ID on my local installation and works fine.
I use v 1.3 for the social counter, the plugin is in plugins folder on the Themeforest theme zip file.

@ljubisa and myself are having this same issue. My wordpress is version 3.8.1 and my php version is 5.5.9 The issue must be in the php file as nothing is displayed after I enter anything in the twitter id box.
Also the facebook id doesn’t return any fans. The fans is at 0, i can put in the name from the page or the facebook ID, the results return is the same, 0.

I updated the Newspaper Theme to version 3.3 today. This solved the issue with the Twitter ID as mentioned in this thread. The facebook numbers are still at 0 fans, however. Not sure what else to look for in Facebook, I have the settings in FB to be 18+ for audience and not sandboxed.
Marius helped me one time but after today’s Template update Twitter and Facebook again no longer worked, I uninstalled and installed this WordPress plugins: social-count-plus. Now works fine for me.

The content of my site doesn’t allow facebook to be 13+, It must be 18+ as I market to adults exclusively, if I set it below this, as my site markets with alcohol and I cannot market to minors. Thank you for your time with the issue on this problem.
