Twitter Image not working anymore. It was working but stopped and even though there is a featured image defined when I post the link on twitter/X no image appears.

Thoughts?
a) Twitter has come and go issues with capturing images and nothing to do with your site, theme or content … X is a shit show, and they don’t really care about your images – so, be aware this can happen and not much you can do about it
b) only thing you can do to help try to get Twitter to capture image is make sure your meta data headers for post have the open graph (OG) tags and image for twitter clearly noted (you can set this in software like YOAST, etc.).
Had our top client today, and news item would not capture image. Hella annoying.

Ha. Ironically, I used the “old” card validator to paste in the page on our site where the post didn’t get image pulled, just rechecked twitter, and the image is now there. So, the ping worked.
So, find most recent post you did from your site with missing image, go to the validator and put in the URL of the post. See if it validates. If so, wait a few minutes and go back to twitter and see if pix now show up.
