Hello, I am using Newspaper 6.6.5 and I would like to know how to “unbox” the header layouts 3 and 4 (boxed dark w/and without logo), how can this be done?

Thanks!

Hello Udutronik,

If you want to have the main menu bar to be full width (“unboxed”) for header style 3 and 4 you have to use a bit of CSS code to do that. Please notice that if you want to add a background for the whole theme, the layout of this will be boxed ->this is the behaviour of the theme and if you want to change this functionality you need customization services.

The code for header style 3 is ->

.td-header-style-3 .td-header-menu-wrap-full{
background-color:black!important
}

The result is -> http://screencast.com/t/4yigIFMfd

The code for header style 4 is ->

.td-header-style-4 .td-header-menu-wrap-full{
background-color:black!important
}

The result is -> http://screencast.com/t/YxdqIFI2WxeH

Hope this helps!

If is not what you mean, please provide more details about your desired changes so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hi,
I have a similar issue. I am using Header Style #5: Full dark menu with logo

The top bar, main menu and footer are normally full width (unboxed).
The theme normally has no background image.
When I upload a background image, the top bar, main menu and footer all become boxed, and loose their full-width sizing.

I want to have a background image and keep all those full width. How can we do this?

Thanks,

G.

Hello GARBAR,

Provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate code.

Hi Catalin,

Here is the site under construction:

I have a background image assigned, and you will see that the black Menu Bar at the top, the Footer (red), and Sub Footer (blue) do not go to full width (to infinity), instead they cut off and become boxed. If I were to take the background out, they do extend to full width. I want to have the background image, and have them all full width as well.

Thanks,

G.

Hello GARBAR,

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to use the header and footer section in full-width when the background image is applied, sorry! This is a Js option which cannot be changed very easy and it is part of theme behavior. If you want to change it and if you aren’t aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!
