I am trying to use a custom sidebar rather than the default sidebar on http://www.staging3.maxlaxoc.com/where-are-they-now-oc-players-at-the-next-level/. Having some problem with other pages. I cleared the cache.

If you want to use a custom sidebar you need to choose the sidebar position and then select one of the sidebars from the dropdown: http://screencast.com/t/sIV20STYuaj
You can create a new sidebar from the dropdown and then add widgets to it in the widgets area of WordPress.

Please disable all plugins except visual composer. clear cache and reset cnd files if you use it. Also if you have wordfence please set the firewall on learning mode as it will affect the theme panel even if the plugin is disabled.
