We are currently developing a new website and subsequently have purchased the Newsletter theme for WordPress. However, we regret to inform that we are already having trouble with this theme connecting instagram. The details of this issue are below:
1. Front end shows the following message:
Instagram data error: The data could not be retrived using the Instagram ID. If you own this account, please connect to it in Theme’s Panel Social Networks > Instagram Account Access Configuration section.
2. Upon attempting to configure our Instagram account we proceed to clicking the “connect instagram account” button
3. When clicked, this sends us to log in with Instagram but when doing so appears the message:
{“error_type”: “OAuthException”, “code”: 400, “error_message”: “Invalid scope field(s): basic”}
This is as far as we can get unfortunately and need further support please.

It looks like instagram retired a legacy API permission on June 29. Here’s their post: -> https://www.instagram.com/developer/
The changes for Instagram ware made, now we need some approbations from Instagram to implement the api key and after we got them, them we’ll make a theme update where will be the new Instagram version.
