When I try to update the PHP version to 8 or higher on the server, the site becomes unreachable.
After contacting the host, they reported that the issue preventing functionality is caused by a widget called by the theme.

Please make sure that your plugins are compatible with the PHP version. Please disable all extra plugins and try to update the PHP version.

Thanks, I did what you suggested, I deactivated the extra plugins, one at a time, until I was able to update the PHP version.
