Unassigned category siblings

Hello – I’m trying to work out why News is appearing on my Politics category page (and vice-versa). Neither is a sub-cat of the other and neither is a subcat of another, third, category.

How are siblings assigned? These two are next together in the alphabet in the WP categories list but otherwise, as far as I know I haven’t connected them.

I’m sure there’s a solution but search doesn’t seem to find anything in forum or documentation.

Thanks

Hi,
This is because you are using cloud template that allow you to do almost everything you want, change layout, functionality ….
My recommendation is to check each category cloud template with tagDiv Composer, make sure that you have the blocks filtered after the current category, also elements as sibling will display multiple categories…

I don’t think so – the same thing happens with a standard template, as I sent above. This one – https://jazzjournal.co.uk/category/news/

The categories News and Politics are not related as far as I can see. As I say, no parent and subcategory relationship.

Can you look more closely at this?

Thanks

Here is a shot of the relevant categories in WP. They are not subcategories – one of the other or both of another. Why are they both showing on each other’s category pages?
