Hi, i encounter something weird with post category.
I’m just edit all ‘uncategorized’ post and move it to another category
When i check my homepage, it’s still labelling ‘uncategorized’ on the post thumbnail (i already filter the block to only show post from specific category).

Please Help
Hi,
Try clearing you cache, and check if the problem is fixed. If the posts were moved to a different category and are not part of the Uncategorized category, then this should not be displayed. On your website there aren’t any uncategorized posts at the moment

Thanks
That’s where the problem lies. The post already moved to different category, it already grouped in the right categories, but the post label on block still showing uncategorized..
Check the part that i circled with red
Hi,
This is a weird issue. I still believe it could be a caching related problem, but if you already cleared it that may not be the case. There would be no other reason for the modules to display the Uncategorized category if the posts are no longer part of this category anymore.
Please check if maybe you have set the Uncategorized category as primary for the posts

This setting has priority and will display the category you set there

Thanks
Still in auto select category
It only happens in the block labelling, i wonder why..
Something broken with terms / meta? I didn’t know how the block get that value.
Maybe you guys can help me with this..
*Update: I try to delete the uncategorized category, and now it’s not showing any label*, i think the database meta/terms is the cause, here’s from one of the post with wrong post label meta_value a:1:{s:14:”td_primary_cat”;s:1:”1″;}
This is the culprit
Maybe because i change the category from quick edit, and the primary category not generated?
Is there any way i can change it in a quick way, i have around 600 post like this >,<
Thank you
Hi,
I believe the quick edit in bulk, allow you to assign posts to different categories, but does not remove the old category. If the posts were in the Uncategorized category and you assigned some other category in bulk editing, this will still be a category for the posts.
If a post has more categories, by default the primary category will be the first one alphabetically. Unless you manually specify a category

The primary category has to be set for each post, there is no option for bulk editing unfortunately.
Thanks
