Hello,
The sidebar block can be edited to filter posts by category, by tag, and post sorting option: http://screencast.com/t/zm4oTg6kKcn7. You can change these settings and get different results.
As for the footer, it depends if you use one of the styles with predefined content. The predefined content cannot be edited. You will have to chose a different footer style and use the footer 1, 2 and 3 widgets in the widget area to add blocks to the footer which have options available.
If you mean the related articles on the bottom of the posts, this cannot be edited from the theme panel, it can only be done by altering the core files of the theme.
Thank you!
hi bogdan
maybe I explained myself wrong
the problem is that, into the article, sidebar widget shows same articles of Related Articles.
i looking for a solution like this http://screencast.com/t/TEmTsIpX3Ea5 (used to avoid displaying duplicate articles in widget) but not to see the same items in the sidebar widget and in that of the related articles…
thanks
Hi,
I understand your request, but unfortunately there is no easy solution for it. The example you provided is for another option. It is set to remove the currently viewed post from the sidebar, not show unique articles on blocks.
In order to have different articles on post blocks (widget and related) you can edit the widget block and set another category to it, or filter it by tag. You can also filter the related articles by tag from the theme panel.
Unfortunately there is no unique articles site-wide option.
Thank you!
Unfortunately there is no easy way to do it. There is no easy piece of code you can add somewhere. It has to be made custom, that means editing more files than one to change the functionality of the blocks. It needs custom work which we cannot provide. It is no easy task even though it seems like one. If you really need this done, you can hire a freelancer to do it for you from sites like studio.envato.com
Thank you!
