Hi TagDiv team! I have a client’s home page set with “Unique Articles” enabled. This is perfect for most of the home page because we do NOT want any duplicate articles.
However, the client wants a block of articles at the bottom of the home page that shows the most read articles across the site over the past 48 hours regardless whether they appeared previously on the home page or not.
How would the “most read in past 48 hours” on that block of articles work with the “unique articles” setting on the page. Does it interfere? Does the “most read” setting override the “unique articles” restriction? If so, is there another way around this?

BTW, is the “News Ticker” element subject to the “unique articles” setting on a page? Or does “unique articles” only affect article blocks?

Unfortunately, when the Unique Article option is enabled, the Most Read sort will not work as expected. It will skip articles that have already been displayed earlier on the page.
One possible solution is to place this block at the top of the page so it displays the articles first based on the selected sort order. Any instances of the same articles appearing later on the page will then be hidden due to the Unique Article option.
The News Ticker element should not be affected by the Unique Article setting. This is because it uses AJAX to load and slide through articles, and the Unique Article option does not apply to AJAX-based pagination.
