I would like to make a header for every static page and post category to be contain a different slider or block full width. Is there a simple way to widgetize the header to insert slider or block shortcodes?

Sorry but for the moment the theme does not have any such options. This can only be done through customization but unfortunately we cannot offer any custom work at the moment.

Yes, in the future there will be lots of new options for headers, footers, pages, templates etc. We have big plans on how the templates work as well as the header options you seek. But for the moment it is still too early for me to promise anything. It is still in development at an early stage.
For the moment though I cannot provide any solution for having different headers for different pages.
