Hi,

Why exactly can’t you update the theme? Which method are you using? If there is a problem using one method, try the others https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
Or are there problems after the update?
Regarding a multisite wordpress install I can’t quite say if you should try a specific method, we haven’t made any testing in the matter unfortunately.

Thank you!

Hi Simon, thanks for your answer.
Within one of the Multisites the Update is shown as:
New Update is Available
A new version of the Newspaper Theme is ready to be installed. See what’s new here: Changelog

Current Version:

10.3.6
New Version:

10.3.6.1

By clicking the “install update” button it looks like installation is working but after 5 seconds I am in the update section of the network administration of multisite saying everything is updated, but thats not the case.

We will try to manually update via the WordPress theme panel.

Just find out that the theme is not activated in the very first Multisite. Maybe this is colliding with the updates of the themes we activated in two subsites.

Hi Shared-IT, usually when you are using a multi-site you need to start to update the theme and plugins startling with the parent/first site, in this way you can prevent the above situations.
Also in some case on multi-sites you need to use the manually installation.
If there is still a problem or you have some questions, let us know!
Thank you!

Hi Calin, thats what we think.
Unfortunatly the theme in the very first site is not activated and dos not allow to update. We can try to deactivate one of the other two, activate the first theme and start the updater.

You should fix this don´t you? Do we get any problems with activating/deactivating lot of times?

Finally we got it with deactivation of one site, then activate the theme of the first Multisite -> check for updates -> install updates -> deactivate first site -> activate the original site.

Hi Shared-IT, out theme was not not been tested on multi-sites by our team, but I have seen a lot of users that use it and it works, now I can not say the steps or settings that they are using, but normal there should work without any problems.
I’m glad that in the final you managed to make the update.
Have a nice week.
