Update from 6.6 to 6.6.1: what files changed?

Hi

I am using Newspaper version 6.6

It came from Envato an update for 6.6.1 but it is unclear which files have changed

Changed file refers upgrade 6.5 – 6.6.1

Also the patch folder contains only the file changes between 6.5 – 6.6.1

Instead I wanted to know what are the files that have changed from 6.6 to 6.6.1

Hello Bintmusic,

Our new update (6.6.1) comes with only the new social counter version. In this update it was repaired the problem with Facebook social counter, as you can see in bottom of this page: http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609

So in this update, we simply replace the social counter plugin with the new one? We don’t copy any file if we already got v6.6?

It seems like that…

I just updated only the plugin folder social counter via ftp

…rather it does not seem there are still improvements to counter facebook worsening dramatically PageSpeed from 90 to 74

Hi,

Yes, the difference between 6.6 and 6.6.1 is just Social Counter plugin.
For future you can always check the update_log file to see what files were modified.
Regarding the speed, this was not affected by the Social Counter plugin and we will try to improve it for post pages. If you test the homepage you’ll see that it still at 89 – https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.tagdiv.com%2Fnewspaper&tab=desktop
